Clean, gut, butcher, package, defrost & cook it all myself - I don't like taking my game to "meat houses" as you never know whose you will get back or how it was treated.
Prepping game meat is pretty simple after you do it a couple of times with someone who knows what they are doing & it is very rewarding.
I'll post more pics on the thread soon - I pulled a Kodiak brown bear tag for this October in a premium (trophy) unit. I do some guiding there & two of the most recent monsters that came out of there taped out at 10 1/2'.
