smoke while sick...good or bad?

I have a cold right now but i'm dying to smoke a bowl. Will smoking while i'm sick make my cold even worse or lengthen its duration? Because i have important stuff to do this weekend and i can't be sick for it. If anyone knows pleeease help me out.

when i have a cold i take some Dayquil and smoke from a pipe onle no bongs, stay sick a little longer bit, but the only time i dont smoke is when i am dry....
