I was thinking about this the other day actually. Let me preface what I'm about to say by stating that both spit sick rhymes and are musical geniouses. They both know how to incorporate new sounds and new ideas to always give their audience something new and enjoyable.
That being said, I sometimes get the feeling that Lil Wayne sells out in some of his songs. I love almost everything of his, but every now and then he releases something or joins with someone that makes me stop and say, "what the fuck?" It's kind of like he just does some of his shit for the money.
Kanye though, whether you love or hate what he's got to say he always says something. He's always speaking about something that can really touch someone and resonate with their lives. His music just seems more down-to-earth to me.
Both are tight though. I got my Kanye station running on Pandora right now.
