i have recently posted a thread i was not abusive and did not use any profanity's in any way shape or form, so why close it?

can we not have an opinion any more are we to be herded in to conformity.

so why close the thread when you were not asked to by anyone and under which stipulation had you the right to do so.

i was under the impression that as long as the rule's were not broken then we could have our say.

this does not seam so. as long as any of the MOD's don't like the thread they can close it.

Its people with a little bit of power. They have no power any where else in there lives so they have to be powerful here. It makes them feel like somebody.
 
I have only been here recently, but I also find this troublesome as we are this site, we the community. I think that the screening of P.M.'s is crazy... I understand rules but isn't that what the mods were here for? They are supposed to be here to deal with situations that require intervention.

i would like to see the thread reopened for debate, but i don't think that will happen as there is so many flaws in the rule's that they would not stand up to a debate, and that why all posts of that nature will be closed.

i knew it when i posted it that why i named it so. as if ROLLITUP has any intelligence he will have seen all the flaws and how much it ostracise the true RIU users

Fool, your trippin! I read about the PM's... cause i thought that was BS too! But they CAN if so inclined... but they dont on a reg basis. Now... if someone (cough the dea) were to persuade (cough threaten jail) RIU to scan msges, they more then likely would. But in this case... its just fact that they can access it... and so can any decent hacker im sure. Thats what sucks about the internet... everthing is recorded somewhere... period. So they are still PM's... but if need be, they could go threw and read them from the data base...

You're right...but a nice bonus to this site is that there is a place to socialize with other like minded individuals...(At least as far as we all enjoy marijuana:mrgreen:)I'd be sad to see that part go.

i had a question i a previous thread, it was closed for no good reason and the debate is now, have we a right to an opinion here on RIU
