Your way to reach atleast a pound?

What system or method do you usually use to reach atleast 1 pound? I thought a 1000w light and 8-5gal pots would help me reach atleast a pound but i came up short about a quarter pound.. Just curious to hear insight/tips..

How long did you veg the plants? What strain? How And what kind of nutes were they given? Have you thought about co2?

That's what im.saying. 1pound should have been pretty easy with 8 in 5gals. I just pulled about 2oz from a small cfl 1 plant grow

You have to learn your space and strains. I fell short by about the same on my first 2 grows w/ a 1k light. One was to many plants (9) that blocked out the light and I ended up w/ alot of popcorn. I found now that less is usually more. The most I do under one light now is 6 plants and I average 20 to 24z with my known strains and no popcorn. I run 5 gal promix with fox farm nutes and solubles at 6 per light 12 total and co2 only in the winter when I can't vent the room. I top them and supercrop several times depending on the strain and veg for about 4-6 weeks once they are out of the cloner.

i think i do alot of over feeding.. up and down temps.. and i dont really use and enhancers.. alot of inconsistency.. on another note i am thinking about adding 2-600w LEDs which would be equal to a 5300w hps..

i think before you add any more light you should work on the over feeding and temp issues. more light is not always the answer

I wouldn't waste my money on led's yet. The technology and price are just not there.

As far as your other issues, over feeding is simple, just don't do it. I never start w/ a full dose and usually never reach the recomended amount on the package. Temps are a little harder to control. Without knowing your space it's hard to give any advice. I use a combination of a cheap fan tstat from home depot in the attic fan section about $25 and a fan speed contoler on my outside veg box in an unheated shed. If it's cold outside the box stays at my set temp with the only heat source being a 400watt hps.

With consistancy you'll get there.
