Commuting from Sac. would suck. Your life would consist of driving, working, and sleeping. Not much time for anything else.
Hell yeah. You're 8 hour job just turned into a 14 hour day with commute. Plus the cost of gas at $4.00/gal. Might as well ask for lube with that ass rape.

we might decide to bump up our top rent to $2500-3000 if that's what it takes. i'd hate for her to have to do an hour commute both ways every day.

i'm no fan of spending almost $50k a year to rent something, but it's just a year and then she'll be done.

and after a quick review, we are definitely gonna bump it up to $3k top range. lots of single family homes in good neighborhoods at that price, some even w/backyards for the dog.

all i gotta do now is hope and pray to Dog that everything goes well in the GH this year so that i'm not sucking cock for rent money by the end of our stay in cali.

Move as close as possible, most places over the hill (east) your PG&E will run $200-300 more due to high temps.
Fuel cost will be about $200 more,
If she has to pay bridge toll that will be $130, parking $200
Therapy $400 (to figure out why one would spend so much time in traffic)
Plus you will be close to the events, dispensaries, eateries ect. and since you wont be fighting traffic to get there, less stress, happier wife, longer life.
