yield question

I have 2 questions about yield... First one being. Does kush generally have a low yield? What's the average per plant? (every time I had kush it was always small buds). Second question is... I've read in a book and seen on the net that hydroponic grown MJ has a higher yield than grown in soil. How does this work and why?
Also am I technically growing hydro? I'm using a pro-mix. Its nutrient free. Not sure of the full ingredients but its a soilless mix. It looks like soil tho

bump!? ....

Kush can yield high, strains vary

Using dwc or other h20 based grows have great results when done right

I'm not sure If ur setup is hydro

thanks dude... i hope my kush strain yields nice lol and my medium does not contain soil. it has a couple things that are put in soil like perlite and peat moss... like the title for the other forum says "growing in anything but soil" lol so it must be hydroponic?

thats a long and complicated question that only time can answer. so many factors are involved. lighting, conditions, strain, veg time, nutrients, skill of grower, to many factors to add. so all you will get from people is what it says on the seed selling sites or what they have grown and their results. sorry peace.

i dont use drippers. i water myself...... guess i should start my own thread with details. keep it updated from now til harvest.

Kush comes from the afghan family which is indica. I usually average 2 oz from my indica's. I grow in pro-mix also and no its not considered hyro its considered soiless medium. The promix is peat moss based which has a very low ph of around 4. The company premixes it with lime to bring the ph up to around 5.5 - 5.8.....I add my own lime into the mix also when i transpant into 3 gallon bucket for flower because i like to keep the ph 6-6.2 while in flower. for me 2 teaspoons dolomite lime per 1 gallon of promix will put it in that zone

thanks for the help man. feel free to post on my new thread when its up.. and dolomite lime is pure right? a lemon you gota slice?

Im not if i understand what your asking? Dolomite lime is pure and a lemon you gotta slice??? I dont think we are thinking about the same kind of lime Lol.

please explain what dolomite lime is lol
You can find dolomite lime at almost every hydro store and Lowes carries it..you can get a 40 lb bag for under $10
There are 2 different limes you will see...1 is a bag of little hard rocks(dont get that one) The one that you wanna get is called pulverised or crushed lime (its a powder) and its fast acting.....here is a link with explanation of lime http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Agricultural_lime
