Ok so when summer comes along im going to get a 24k btu minisplit ac and wondering if i can run the external part in the attic or in basement without harming anyone or will it put to much heat off to be next to my grow room?

I don't think so. 24k btu is an incredible amount of heat. All that heat energy that is being removed from your grow goes into the external unit.

My attic gets up to 125+ in the summer, I cannot imagine adding 24k btu of heat to that. I would fear a possible fire if you don't have good air circulation, and also the efficiency of the unit to run in an ambient temp that high.

it WILL NOT work well or efficient. the outdoor unit is the heat remover, if you put it in a hot attic, there is no cool air to remove the heat. the other end will not get very cold. you need to circulate cool air thru and remove the hot air.

Ahhh, completely forgot about summer temps. Was thinking about my 40* temps thats is there now... damn, idk where to put the external unit as it cannot go outside. Possible in a bedroom above the grown room and put fan in window to suck heat outside.

Maybe have your installer mount in on the roof of your house? Many schools and buildings have them around here. You could say its to save money on central heat and ac.

Can external unit go into the attic? Its empty so not going to be fire hazard or anything.
It's not the fact it's a fire hazard, it's the fact that the hotter the air around the external unit the worse it will work. "Coolers" don't cool anything, they move heat - if you really have a legit reason to put it in your attic, your going to need exhaust the air.

No def Not you can not put the condenser (outside unit) in any type of interior, the condenser coil need to be cooled by the outside air ,air can not be recycled. You will burn out the compresser in a matter of hrs

Mini splits in general are small very slim condenser (outside unit) not many companys make them 24,000 btu made by mitsubishi size about 40 inches long 14 wide 30 inches hight this is give or take in size going by memory ...... weight 40 to 60 lbs ,can be mounted on roof if you have a flat area very quiet nice all around system easy to install , but there are municiple codes on placement of mechanical units A/c generators codes are mostly set backs (so many feet from your property line ) every town has certain requirments. Also you cant just bye one with out a Fed EPA lic. you need to be a qualified Hvac tech with the proper lic.

Why can't you put it outside? If you are going to invest in a 24k btu mini spit, and I assume all the accessories to go along with it and do up the grow room right, then you should do it up properly.

Not true, you can buy them on ebay all day long, hydro shops also sell units with precharged quick connect lines. No license required.
