Ok guys I think I am just screwed!!! It has been 2 weeks since my first post and my plants are getting worse! I have watered them 4 times since then, here is a detailed list of everything I have given them in the past 4 times I watered.
I changed my tallboy filters before all these so I do not think chlorine is an issue.

1. I bought RO water are Phed to 6.5-7.0 (Tested run off and it was 5-5.5 so trying to raise the PH a full point)
2. Next watering I made them a light compost tea to give the microbes a boost (no guano or anything hot) natural tap PH around 7
3. Clean natural 7PH water
4. Clean Natural 7PH water

I also mixed in a handful of dolomite lime to my topsoil as a buffer. What the hell??!! I followed subs exact ratios on everything!! I did use a few different brands this year than last but ratios were all the same!!! I throughly mixed for over an hour and filled 2 trash cans with lids, watered and let bake in the sun for 4-5 weeks. This batch cooked longer than my batch last year and I had great results before!! My soil must have not cooked properly and now I guess I am just screwed. It still seems like a soil PH problem to me but I don't know what else I can do to fix it. I could really use a bountiful harvest right now, but at the moment it does not look like it is gonna happen. I guess I should focus my time on building my 2k watt indoor grow box for the winter :) Let me know if you guys have any other ideas as I'm fresh out!!!!

Sorry the pics suck but you can see they are declining in health. The Jedi Kush has those nasty Claw looking leaves and the whole plant seems to be yellowing at once.

possibilities: over watering, insufficient buffer, strains that simply dont like super soil. maybe your soil needed to cook longer. jedi and sw are similar. i know sw doesnt like ss. kushes in general dont like ss

edit: specifically og kushes seem finicky in ss

I think you may be on to something with the overwatering. It looks like most of what the OP has tried involves adding more water. Maybe try lettin them get nice and dry (to the point that they just start to wilt), then give some plain water.

i have observed plants that were already having uptake issues get worse when over watered

Makes sense. If they are having issues, they are likely not in fast-growing thirsty mode. Giving them more water would just exacerbate the problem.

I agree with you guys, I have watered 4 times in 2 weeks. I water once every 4-5 days depending on how hot it is. They are bone dry out there right niw semi-wilting in the 85 degree heat and I am still going to wait untill morning to water again. But I agree the symptoms do look like over watering/lockout issues. I think the 30 gal pots are far too large for these 3 foot plants. I am really trying to let them dry out but they seem to wilt before fully dry. Maybe I will try less ammounts of water more frequently?

Edit: the problems are with all the plants even subs strains. The flav is one of the worst, fan leaves going pale yellow one by one.

Wilting before completely dried out? That sounds like overwatering to me. That or they are drying out the portion where they have roots, and not the unused soil. I don't think the latter iis very likely. If there is water in that pot, and the plants want water, the roots will search it out.

The way those leaves are kindof cupped downward looks more like an overwater wilt than an under water wilt. Underwatering causes the turgor (sp?) pressure to drop, makin the whole leaf floppy, but not so much misshapen. Also, if it were from under watering, they would perk up within an hour or so of watering (sometimes within minutes, literally).

Well maybe you guys are on to something, every 4-5 days may be too often, maybe they only need a drink once a week! It kind of makes sense now considering how large the containers are in relation to the size of the plants. I grew larger trees last year in 7 gal smarties than I have this year in 30s! (also due to a late start). I have never really let them fully wilt, I am not going to water tomorrow (day 5 since last water) and wait for them to wilt bad, then give them a drink.

I suspect they will actually start to perk up as the soil dries, then start going a little limp as they get thirsty.

I put mine into SS almost exactly 4 weeks after I started it. Was that too soon? How do you correct issues that it causes? Teas?

Teas make MORE nutrients available. Don't use a tea if your plants are already getting burnt. Don't try to fix a problem you don't even have.

Every single plant I put into Super soil made with roots organic looks like that or worse, and it dont get any better, just wait intill you flower them and only get a 1/2 oz per plant . could be some kinda soil bug?

Well this all sounds so promising. I guess I'll find a local organic soil but still I hope my grow doesn't flop....

Your not doing something right lol, I had 1/4-1/2 lb. bushes last year. I am in a different location this year and have been over watering. Nothing wrong with subs mix but I think thats obvious by the thousands of people that use it in this forum haha.

You were right spicy, the worst of them all is the Jedi and I actually picked it up and dug my hand down the side of the smartie and she is still wet as hell!! It has been 5 or 6 days and she is still soaking wet down there!! She just kept wilting like this so I just assumed she needed water! :wall: such a amateur mistake!! I have been gardening far too long to mess up like this!! I think what has happened is not all of the plants are drinking as much as others. I have been watering them ALL every time a water. These ladies are obviously going to have to be on individual watering scheduals for the next few weeks. Look at this droopy kush plant though!! I wish I could give her something to perk up!! (She most likely will not be watered for another 5 days.) 85 and sunny today though!!! thank god!!

P.S. that last pic is of a casey jones plant I had last year in a 7 gal smart pot!!! I swear I know how to garden!!! lol

Don't worry bumps! Just mix the soil for 4 weeks minimun, one thing I didnt do that I wish I did was water the soil with a light worm/compst tea before it sits to get the microbiological life going strong. Mix for 4 weeks MINIMUM (longer the better) and make sure you create a buffer zone in between the SS and the normal soil on top. Then just keep your ph between 6-7 and don't over water and your good to go!!
