Having an issue come up in my veg and not sure what it is. They are bubble gum strain and been watering with maxi grow and for some reason im getting some yellowing but its mainly only on the top growth. Using ro water with maxi grow and cal mag at 2.5 ml a gal with an ec of 1.1 in hydro setup. Also having some purple coming in on the stems as well but not real bad.

Well your PH should be fine. Try an Epsom salt + water foliar feed. And maybe kick up your nutrients a little. I don't see any burning and I'm thinking it could be nitrogen deficiency as well.

These are in the same bucket system and look great, thats what has me baffled lol. They are grandaddy purps and the yellowing 2 are bubble gum s
Some strains are more needy then others. I would only run a single strain in my ebb and flow since I only had one res. that way you don't end until with a nitrogen hungry plant and end up burning your other ones trying to remedy that.

Yeah i need to separate them, there in a small bucket system and are going to be mothers. Was hoping to get away keeping them together in that small system but might not be able too.

Water temp is 65ish and room temp is 70 and rh is low at 35 i need to get that up but didn't think that would be the problem.
Getting the RH up helps but I live in 15% humidity on average, my plants do well without a humidifier.

Some strains will show purple on the stems but since your leaves are yellowing I think it's a symptom of a deficiency rather then a genetic trait.

Well the purps that have the dark fan leaves dont have purple on the stems there green and everything with them look good other than the dark fan leaves. The 2 gums have the yellow and some purple on the stems.

If u look at that very first pic of the yellow gums and blow it up some u can see some of the leaves are curling up on the edges like they may be getting to muxh nutes, or am i wrong and a def could be causing that as well?

Sorry I misread your comment lol. The picture of the that plant still appears to be starting to lighten up with the new growth.

Yeah i dropped how much food they where getting because of them getting dark so i think thats y. But now the new growth looks like it should when it came out but as there getting bigger there getting some darkness in the newer growth as well as u can see that they look a little 2 tone in the pics with the brighter green and darker green on the edges working in

I'm pretty confident that your not over doing the nutrients. I don't think you are over watering and your temperatures are good. Bump up the nutes a little next feeding and try the magnesium foliar feed.

Ok i will try that, how much epsom should i use in a gal and should i keep using the cal mag in my nutes as well? Im doing a light dose at 2.5 ml a gal in my res. U don't think the higher nutes will be to much for them purps in there?

if anything the purps might like more nutes. Once you see that the very tips of the leaves are starting to burn you have hit the limit. I had a White Fire that had huge very dark leaves and she was a hungry plant lol. I use about 2 tsps of Epsom salt in a 24oz spray bottle. It usually works pretty fast I'd do it once ASAP and again in 2-3 days depending on if it seems to help or not.
