Hi,
40% of my seedlings (main strain) started to have some small yellow spots on their leaves which are turning brownish.
Only two of the seedinglings with yellow spots have leaves which are hanging down.
The other seedlings are doing fine.
I also have seven seedlings from another strain (both strains mainly indica) and they do much better than the main strain and don't have any yellow or brown spots.
They have more roots too and seem to drink more but the seeds were double the size compared to the main strain.
I placed all germinated seeds in 1 inch / 2.5cm rockwool cubes 9 days ago without adding any nutes.
I soaked the rockwool cubes in Ph 5.5 adjusted water for 24h before that.
Lights are 2x13W T5 6500k with reflectors, both together should have around 2000 lumen for a 40x50cm area.
I also have 2x55W PLL 6500k with X lumen but I thought that might be overkill and I am not using these.
I noticed that my seedlings got stretchy (~3 inch / 7.5cm at the moment) and hence I raised them closer to the lights 3 days ago and they stopped to stretch.
They are now around 2 inches / 5cm away from the lights and were 6,5 inches / 16cm away previously.
The lights are very cool as they are only 13W and I don't think that the plants got heat stressed or burned.
Do the seedlings maybe just need nutes already?
I watered the rockwool cubes already a second time by dipping the lower half for a few seconds in Ph 6.0 adjusted water.
I just squeezed out the water of a cube with a very slow growing seedling and the runoff water had PH 6.5.
I watered the rockwool cubes today again with PH 5.0 water, maybe that will help to get the PH down a bit.
Temperatures are between 25°-27° C, Humidity between 60-70%.
Do you also recommend me adding a small computer fan at this stage to thicken up the stems?
Can you also recommend placing the small rockwool cubes in larger ones?
Most Seedlings have plenty of roots shooting out of the bottom already (check images).
Should I leave the humidity dome off? I heard it's only good for cuttings anyway as seedlings are drinking through roots and not foliage like cuttings.
Without the humdity dome I have around 45-50% humidity, temperature stays the same.
I hope you can help me out.
