Yellow spots on leaves, and a questions about trimming (5 weeks into flowering)

hey here are a few pics of my pride and joy, we got these girls as clones from a buddy a while ago.
A few days ago, the smaller one started showing yellow spots on the top fan leaves. then more spots appeared, and it started to spread to a few more fan leaves. At this point, its only on the top couple of big fan leaves, the buds look perfect.
About 2 days after this started happening on the small one, the same thing started happening to the big one. (they were put into flowering at the same time, one just bigger than the other)
I was wondering if anyone knew what this problem was.

Also i was wondering if i should trim off the top couple of big fan leaves cause the buds at the bottom are not looking that developed.

thanks for the help

your buds are nice and full, the lower branches are always smaller and not as developed like the nice top colas, anyway sorry to tell you bro but join the club everyone i know has spider mites! look under those leafs and see if u see white spots (eggs) the mites are small and black! u will notice them if u look hard enough, sorry bro but me and a lot of others are in the same boat, look up wat to do for them theres so much stuff out there u can buy! i havent used anything but neem oil and im in the process of finding something stronger to kill them hopefully! pics arnt that clear but by the sounds if it it sounds like mites! and they jump from plant to plant in the air so they move and reproduce very quickly!
