the first two pics show the discoloration, the third shows some webs, and the forth shows the bug.

there are no holes in the leaves. at first i was thinking spider mites cuz of the webs, but the bugs are black not red, and there aren't any holes.

i have the same thing on a couple of my plants... i would like to know what they are as well

i have a hydro setup using rockwool and a 175 w mh light

You have a bad infestation of mites my friend. Get some hot shot pest strips and some neem oil. should take care of your problem....goood luck. I to have spder mites but they are not that bad.

they seem to be attacking my 2 querkel plants, all the rest of them seem to be just fine.

i heard a 70% neem oil mixture with warm water+ dish soap should do the trick.

so since i know that they are spider mites, i've been doing some research and found that a 1:1 solution of water and rubbing alcohol do a good job of getting rid of spider mites and causes no harm to the plants. has anyone tried this? is it effective?

You infestation is too advanced for neem oil or any of this other crap people are recommending. No offense but spider mites are strong as hell check out my thread on spider mite control. :peace:

How do you apply the solution. What exactly is neem oil and where would i find it. I just found little brown spots and a black bug on the bottom of a leave. Sounds like the same but i dont know how to apply the solution. Do you spray it on put it is the nutes? i would assume if you use dish soap that you would not put that in your water for feeding.
