Ok thanks..what bout the droopy ones? and i was using a standard 75watt house light before so maybe thats why they have burns on them..i switched over to a saltwater tank light setup..its got 4 cfl's on it 2 blue and 2 white..about 2 inches from the top of the plants

thanks for the reply, thats what i was thinking too after looking at the GrowFAQ..How should I go about giving it more salt? Is there a ratio for epson salt to water?

What the heck is it with newbs and miracle gro?

FUCK MIRACLE GROW, you dont want that shit so get rid of it and buy some real soil + fertilizer.

Just to let you know those lights arent cfls, they are normal fluorescents, and its a good thing you switched as a house light will not have hardly any growth.

google compact fluorescents to find out what youre looking for.

Get rid of that miracle gro it sucks and that time release part of it will also mess with your plants.

I know people who grew with miracle gro so thats why i got it, and i am broke..and i thought my lights were cfl's..

if by cfl you mean these,

i have 2 being used in my house right now i can grab..but the are bright white and dont i want the blue spectrum of lighting for veg?

thanks for any info..anything helps

i also installed a 120mm exhaust fan..and currently trying to fix the other fan for an intake but its not working....

most of the home depot type curly lites are 2700 k spectrum. several online sites that have the specs for just about every bulb out by part number and picture. my understanding is the higher the K number the better cri rating and also closer to sunlight spectrum. anyone with better info?

you are pretty doing all the wrong things and yet still they grow! If you are going to use cfls "I think they suck" then you are going to want 65k spectrum for Veg. They are most likely droopy from over water, and burn spots from floro, I don't think so. Are you PH'ing your water?

Wal-mart caries the right CFL's the ones I got came in a two pack for 6 or 7 dollars and they are in a Blue package (Daylight or something like that)....If you got the GE one in a yellow to green pack he is right they are the wrong spectrum and more expensive.

get a grow room..in 3 weeks that box is going to be a prison for your babies. and invest in some fox farm nutes, and you can use the miracle grow soil, just water with ph'd water for first few times to break up the nutes in there before you add more nutes to prevent nute burn.

and the term noob doesnt need to be thrown around here...this isnt diablo2 online..grow up.
