they turn yellow because its like the plant eating up all the goodness"sugers"etc.

yes when flowering the nute you use are usually without n if using nutes.but it takes the nitrogen in to help produce buds

the green in the plants is n.
and when a plant needs more it sort of eats its self.

So when they turn yellow you can pick them off or just leave them...I was told it is better to pick them off.

you can snip them off no need for it still use energy.
