Yellow fungus mold on top soil

I was checking on my new sprout that is about 8 days old since it first popped out of the ground. I have noticed a yellow mold/fungus/alien fecal matter that has covered most of the top of the soil. I heard horror stories of how these can attack the stem and make the plant fall over. I tried to scrape away some of the shit away from the stem of the plant. I notice that on the outside circle of the soil the shit seems to turn white which I think it means it's dying. Wherever I watered it seems that the shit seems to thrive off of it. Will this fungus be harmful to my plant and what are some ways that I can get rid of it. Other than this my plant seems to be growing very well.

Here are some pics.

The plant seems to be doing ok , hmmmm,,
I know if you use fresh milk , 5ml to 1ltr and spray , it kills most mildews and fugus, worth trying it as it causes no harm to your plant...

relax grasshopper, that discoloration isn't anything for you to be concerned about, the kind of mold you speak of that would attack your sprouts little stem is green mold caused by too high humidity, ...usually caused by someone new leaving their humidity dome on for too long.

...this is absolutely NOT your situation and i believe that your discoloration is just the perlite in your mix getting stained by the dirt in the mix and therefore nothing to worry about.

I was thinking of just spraying a light bleach solution on the soil without getting on the leaves, but I don't want to fuck anything up.

That is fairly normal to see on your perlite from my experience, Its either the nutrients or wastes (I haven't discerned which, lol) and at any rate as your soil dries that is what it will look like, I usually just loosen up the top layer before my next watering, the soil is new I'm assuming therefore leading me to believe that what you see as yellow mold is actually the natural nutrients within the soil mix interacting with the perlite.

Thats my 2 cents anyway

I to thought it was the stained perlite , but , if you look closer it appears to be more than that .....

I wouldn't know if there is perlite in there or not, i used 2 random bags of soil in a 5 gal bucket.

There is , i can see it , but on zooming in i can see furry orange fungus stuff , that's a bit more than perlite soil staining , imo

Another question that comes to mind is, what is the humidity in your grow room?,that and, where was the soil kept prior to using it? humidity can play a huge part in thing growing on the soil that wasn't intended to be grown

Yeah I am pretty sure it isn't stained perlite. Looks like some sort of fungus or something. I blew it off at first but it has increased. Maybe ill try watering less and only on the plant.

I would transplant into newly bought soil, asap, just be very careful not to hurt the sensitive roots system and remove the top layer of soil containing the mold carefully before moving it to its new home, oh and water before hand so the soil wont crrumble away from the roots, light shouldn't touch the roots even if that mean carrying over some of that old dirt.

Less water wont solve the prob, but at such an early stage she shouldn't require a whole lot of water, I still recommend the transplant

...when i first started out i popped 30 beans and managed to kill them all.

...i say this because so far everything you've posted shows that you haven't done nearly enough research, ...for example, even 15 minutes of light reading would tell you that you don't pot up a seedling that small into a 5 gallon bucket.

btw, perlite is the white shit mixed into the soil, ...well, it WAS white, now it's orange.
