Y'all the Experts. Give me your thoughts

If you haven't seen what I've got goin, I have a 2 and a half foot male NL (I've got a female bagseed in flower) and want to get use out of it.

Should I try to pollinate one small area of the female to get seeds?

Make butter from the big guy?

Also, would it be a bad idea to take a clone from the female in flower (day so I can keep it going?

What i would do with the male is make either some bubble hash or like you said make butter with it!!! What you could always do with the female to clone her is let her go let her finish but dont chop her just tae the buds off of her change the light cycle back to 18/6 or what ever you where on before the 12/12 let her vegg a few weeks the take some clones!!! thats what i would do my self take it or leave it

I like what I hear. This is my first grow so I gotta ask a newb question. When you say just take the buds, what exactly do you mean?

hmm ... personally .. i would take SOME pollen off of the male and then pollinate CAREFULLY the bottom of the female to get some seeds

It would be sweet but man I really don't trust myself doin that lol. Would I have a NL cross breed then? JW.

I just don't wanna fuck up and lose the time I've put in.

hey blizzie. you say you have a female from bagseed. Are you talkin bout regular commercial weed(the stuff that comes from mex. really compacted buds)? Personally, i wouldn't even bother trying to clone or pollinate a plant from bagseed. unless it was some kickass indica strain. I do realize that you are very new to growing. If i were you, i'd get some seeds from a reputable seed bank. I would recommend getting NL(northern lights) about 30 bucks for 10 seeds. you say you have a NL male. where did you get that from? I'm new to this forum but been growin for 12yrs. 50yr old stoner

If you're really worried, put the pollen from the male in a sandwich bag, put it over the limb you want to pollinate, put the rubber band over the opening so it's closed off, gently ruffle around the bag with the pollen in it, and leave it there for a little while. Only that stem or bud will have seeds.

Don't even bother with the male excpet for pollen collecting. Northern Lights is a base strain for many great crosses. Having a vial of NL pollen handy might be nice...

Seperate the two plants immediately. You do not want the NL male and the female together. She is a crappy bagseed chick that will just get weaker if you allow her to get seeded.

THCity - It is from a bag of (around my area) decent nugs. 50 a sac. I got my seeds from buydutchseeds.com

woods - I like the sound of that, but I wouldn't be able to keep the bag on the whole time it grows and if any pollen gets in the air, it would pollinate the whole girl right?

Anjinsan - Thank you for posting that link. I like where you're goin ith keepin the pollen for future use. My friend has a plant goin of some good ass nugs and he's got a clone for me. I think I might clone the clone and pollinate one to get a good breed of seeds.

Thank you all for your input. I was very upset about having a male but it seems that good always comes out of bad.
