I have plenty of y splitters but not attached yet.. each splitter can hold up to 660 Watt max and 250 volt Max.. im wanting to use 3 splitters so i can attach 4 cfls to 1 outlet but.. the volts on each lightbulb is 120 so to be safe should i just attach 1 ysplitter to one and then just have 2 on one and then 1 cfl on the other side so it will be 3 lightbulbs in each outlet so corresponding// 1 y splitter attached to y splitter . 2 cfls left side/ 1 on right side. or can i use 3?? making 240 volts on each splitter.. but doesnt that all build up on the first splitter making it hazardis

Plug it in somewhere and see if it blows up. Don't stack the splitters keep em separate so you can have more control of your light positioning.

Where did you find the "y" splitters?

I am on the east coast of USA and have been to lowes and home depot both with no luck from either. I actually get weird looks when I ask an employee if they have them.

A part number or proper name would be a big help.

Thanks in advance

Volts dont add up like that. Watts will. Look at the actual wattage of your bulbs and add those up to determine your total wattage.

I was JUST at lowes (east coast). I got 2 splitters for 85 cents each. They are in the aisle that has the individual outlets and light switches, one row beyond shop lighting towards the lumber department.

I hope that helps.

so yes you can do that and ya did it right. also check the socket itself. if its a old lamp you took apart to use ,then some of those are really crappy and cant hold alot. check my grow out and youll see on the last to pages what my lights were like.
