If you've ever used your credit card to get ms points, then you most likely have your info all over the net, friend of mine had 10,000 ms points bought to his account...

....whats that about fuck sony and nothin ever happens to x box??? lol.... in all seriousness tho...sorry to hear about ur friend and thx for the heads up

its more likely that he was careless telling people his email account. all you need to get the password from Xbox is your gamer tag and the email account

This is very possible.. but i know this guy, he is twice as smart as i. i used my credit card to get points, but it was my walmart money card, and it was empty.. hope i can still use it..

Yea and i was bragging about xbl, on how secure they were. People need better hobbies than stealing live accounts... like growing some dank nugs... lol

Whats super weird is that at the same time one of my dormant email accounts sent my mother some health care spam. Changing passwords all around...

Well the rumor is that Lulzsec hacked xbox live. But there has been no official release from lulzsec. No one has stepped forward to claim an xbox live hack either. I don't think it's a legitimate claim as of yet.

There are tools to check your email address against all the recent hacks all over the web. My email is still safe as of right now.

edit: Even if it was hacked, more likely than not you don't have to worry about your credit card numbers. Companies (smart companies) don't store credit card information in plain text. In fact large companies like Microsoft leave payment data responsibilities to a 3rd party. I'm not saying I know Microsoft does this as a matter of fact, but smart companies leave PCI compliance to 3rd parties.

Theres a difference between a hack (which is supposed to have happened to xbox live, which isn't confirmed anywhere online yet), and leaving default passwords on your web server when you're a multimillion dollar company that's holding lots of customer data.
