Bought 10 WW and 10 NYCDiesel Seeds from Amsterdam Seeds and got a bit worried about getting them after reading a bunch of posts, but I was pleasantly (actually I was ecstatic!) when they arrived a week later with an additional 10 each! I soaked 10 of each in water overnight and then germed them in a paper towel. In three days about 6-7 of each popped so I decided to plant them all. I used peat pots and Fox Farm Ocean Forest soil and planted 20 seeds. I placed the pots in a tray and put a dome over them and about three days later (I will call this Day 1) a bunch of them sprouted! By Day 5 I had about 17/20 little sprouts. I had the seedlings under 24 hrs using a 250W HPS. I had the light a bit too high and had some stretching. I have included just a few pics of these first few days. Pretty much all the plants looked like this. I watered every other day with tap water I filled a big reservoir with and took the hood off for about 30 min each day just to check for mold and change the air. I took a PPM reading of the tap and showed only 34 PPM! PH in the soil was around 6.5 using a soil meter.

On Day 7 the remaining three seeds sprouted! I've included a few mixed shots and you can see that they are a bit stretchy and this had me worried for a bit. So I lowered my 250 HPS, gave em some water and let em grow. I had started to build my grow room a week earlier and finally decided on building a two room chamber using 2x3's with four shelves on each side of the flowering room while vertically hanging 1 possibly 2 1000W HPS bulbs in the middle. I built a square frame with 7' long 2x3's 7' high. I attached the veg chamber right next to the flower chamber and separated the two using black and white poly. I have an AC in a window and I framed it with the B/W poly and duct tape to keep it both light and air tight and have fresh air blowing in constantly. I have two squirrel cage fans - one to pull AC air from the flower chamber to the veg chamber and one to exhaust the flower chamber which I have a DIY carbon filter using Honeywell replacement activated charcoal zipped tied around some chicken wire and capped with a duct cap. The other end I have attached a long duct which then goes straight out the window. I also built a small section on the back wall of the flowering room to enclose a 32 gal plastic can which I am using as a reservoir filled with tap water. On top of the same section I have a plywood board for electrics.

Around day 11 I decided to change out my 250 HPS with a 400 HPS and transplant my seedlings into bigger pots. Originally I placed them into 2 gal square pots and filled up the pots and just placed the peat pots right in the middle. Watered them and hung the 400 HPS with a reflector. I checked temps and in the veg chamber they seemed ok when I went to bed ranging from around 80-87 F. I put in a small oscillating fan on low and went to bed. When I woke up, I must have placed the chain on the reflector with some slack without realizing and one of the corners of the reflector dropped and burned a bunch of seedlings!!! OMG I freaked out! About 6 seedlings that I transplanted had leaves yellow and wilting! I had been working on building the room and neglected to check the chains and I was so tired (and stoned) that I passed out right away and in the morning I paid the price. I also realized that the 2 gal pots were too big at this point and decided to place the seedlings into 1 gal round pots and hang the 400 HPS vertically. With the BW poly and the light hung vertically it seemed like the room was twice as bright!

I moved the seedlings from 2gal to 1gal pots and started them on a light nute mix. I am using GH Grow, Bloom, and Micro...these are nutes I have left over from a grow I did a while back and figured they would be fine for soil. I used quarter strength when I watered them next even though the cotyledon leaves were still intact and green and the leaves were coming in really a nice shade of green. In the next few days about half the burnt plants seemed to be dying off and half seemed to make it back. I placed the yellowing seedlings back under the humidity dome placed the tray in a corner of the veg room and hoped and prayed! My camera also during this time seemed to go on the fritz and couldn't take any pictures til Day 18. I got the temps straightened out and elevated the fan so all my plants got some wind. I rotated the smaller plants to have more direct lights and moved the bigger ones to the outer edge. The only thing I haven't been able to keep consistent was the RH which ranged between 24% - 45%. At this point I was watering every other day and giving nutes every other watering.

Wow did these babies grow! Between days 16 and 18 my babies went from 2 sets of leaves to 4 - 5 sets almost across the board! The stems thickened up and the stretching seemed to be under control. Secondary growth was visible at the nodes and these big fan leaves started forming. I'm hoping to top them in a few days and get ready to start cloning -

I wanna ask you guys if you think it would be ok to take cuttings and then top the plants or if I should top, wait for more growth and then take cuttings for clones? I am really anxious to find out sex and remove the male plants to make room for more ladies. Also I'd like to go SOG and throw the clones straight into flower. With about 20 plants and given half for males, I'm hoping to take around 4 cuttings per plant and hopefully have about 40 clones going for the first crop and then take clones every 2 weeks to do a perpetual harvest. So top first and wait for recovery, or clone first and top the mothers at the same time of cloning, or clone first wait for recovery and new growth and then top? Anyway, here are some pics! The first is a mix of both WW and Diesel, the second and fourth are diesel while #3 is WW.

Some more pics...All NYC Diesel. Seems like the diesel as a group is growing faster and stronger than the WW at this point, all though there are a couple WW contending for the title! I really hope they're mostly female...oh and I also took the survivors of the burning and placed them in 1gal pots and stuck them onto the table.

Some Widow pics...The third pic is not WW but I may have forgotten to post it earlier. That plant started growing with a thick stem vertically but I think the stem under the soil had a bend in it and has now started grow somewhat horizontally and is now curving upward. Besides the curving stalk, everything about this baby looks great and healthy. I'm just looking for confirmation that it should be fine...Hope everyone likes the pics and please if anyone has anything to say, don't be shy!

In fact, there are a couple of issues that I need to make a decision on very soon. One of my plants has some light spots and the lower leaves has yellowing around the edges. I think it got burnt when the light dropped, and all the new growth is healthy green without any yellowing. Also one plant has the tip of its leaf (maybe about 1/4") dark and dry to the touch which happened after the light drop and though the leaves don't look exactly like they're drooping but they are sagging slightly. I'm thinking it could be from too much water, but I was hoping to get an opinion. Thx!

dude are you fucking kidding me. how you got busted. what happened. please save countless other souls on here by giving your story so we can learn from a horrible situation. was it smell, random, neighbors, mom. what happened man. were here to console you.

i'm good...actually got busted for something else and had to move. lost everything in the process and i'm trying to get back up and running. as far as the grow, everything was cool...no smell outside, no power issues....had one small leak but that was taken care of quickly. things were actually looking really good til i got pulled over, illegally searched and arrested for something in my trunk...live to grow another day.
