It taste like soap, but had a really good long lasting high just the soap taste. I mean isnt organic sappose to make your buds smell better? I used dog shit as fertilizer and miracle grow soil last year and the weed tasted better.

Did you use anything like Safers or DrBonners on the plants?

All I can imagine is some sort of residue on the plant.

Nope, im praying that the saop taste is not a phenotype becuase i also had a few afgan kush indoor grown weed that had that saopy
taste. All the same seeds from the same plant harvested last year. Im hoping that a cure will rid that soapy taste but if it dosent dam...

I know exactly what you mean; I've been trying to figure it out myself. It has nothing to do with jars, manure, or smuggling. It's inborn--in the strand itself. I know because a "friend of a friend" tried to grow it. He's stupid, so he did absolutely nothing to the plant itself. I mean nothing.

3 day cure, woah! that's gonna make all the difference. Try a 3 month cure, then the chlorophyll will have broken down...

I think "Strain" is the word you're thinking of.

Tested a “ 3 day cure “ ...... why ?

Seriously what will uncured / still GREEN / moisture laden chlorophyll gonna TELL YOU ?
I always get a kick on those trying to sample UNCURED weed.
What in the hell do you expect it to taste like ?

I had a homie who used a shitload of Ona gel as smell control instead of carbon filtration. The weed tasted just like a snuggle dryer sheet. Even the root ball smelled like it. Anything close to the plants that emits fragrance or is put into the soil can affect flavor.

So when you mean soap, do you mean it taste bitter? I think everyone has somewhat already hinted to this, but it most likely has to do with cure time. 3 Days is not cured, not even close. Hell, I dry my shit for up to 14 days in an environmentally controlled room before I put it into jars then meticulously monitor the temps and RH of each individual jar which can be anywhere from a week to a month after the initial drying. How much did you trim it as well, you could be combusting the chlorophyll due to excess sugar leaves as well as not having a long enough dry time which is resulting in the bitter taste. Does it smell like hay by chance?
