Wtf is wrong with my plants, pics

so ive got pretty much every typical noob symptom ive read about all at once. the leaves are yellowing with brown spots from the bottom up, as well as drooping all over and some curling around the edges. theyve been getting distilled water every 2 or 3 days as needed (hot faucet water left out over night, between 120-150ppm), and 350ppm nutes once a week for the last 2 weeks. they were starting to yellow a little 2 weeks ago, but when i gave them the nutes they were better within a day. then a few days later they started getting worse again and nutes didnt help this week. its not heat cause ive got 1 400W HPS about 2 feet away with a fan right on them, not hot to the touch at all. and i also know im not overwatering them, as i make sure the soil is completely dry before i water them. any ideas?

oh, and to answer the first question, i dont know the pH. where do yall get pH drops? i would just order them online but im pretty sure i need to know it now. would somewhere like walmart or a fish store have them?

I look at it this way... the root system is not sending the leaves any support with the natural nutes they want..... In turn the leaves cannot produce and send back any energy to expand the root system and grow bigger... I think yours is in stand by... Stop whatever you've been doing .. mainly I would'nt water again til a marked improvement. Perhaps back the light another 6inch til improvement.... no nutes again for long time..... oh well that's what I feel anyway.... Good Luck

the root system is already fully grown, like i can see them winding around the whole pot and bundles of them by the holes in the bottoms. the soil is completely dry right now, a few inches from the top as well as up from the holes in the bottom.

your roots are only as big as your plants and it's not big they wanna grow tons more

repot them. that clear plastic is bad imo

yeah the soil is about a 60-40 mix of generic potting soil and perlite (i know, i should have read more before hand but too late to transplant now). thats why im doing bagseed on this first grow so i dont f-up $100 worth of quality seeds. how are the roots gonna grow tons more if theyre already at the bottom, just fatten up and spread out more?

anybody else have any ideas? im not discrediting yours vfwvn, the plants just havent been watered in days and the soil is already completely dry.

goddammit, i started a thread on the pots before i moved them from cups and everyone said 2L would be fine since im not gonna let them get more than like 12-15" before i flower them. could i just wrap them in duct tape or something?

your roots will continue to grow to support the leave growth, I feel your root system is in crises, its' either dirt/water/nutes or some combination. Agree that a QUALITY transplant is an option for sure, what's the down side? your on a bad road now. You need to be in rehab NOW .... oh well that's my opinion... very good luck to ya

yeah i realize somethings gotta be causing this and my bet too is that its soil-related. but how would i transplant when the roots have already permeated every square inch of the soil? im gonna stop by an aquarium store on the way back from class today to get some pH'ing equipment so ill update this afternoon.

i am currently growing bag seed, i am using an aeroponic set up but i had the same problem. I then bough a PH meter and some PH up and down from Petco for 1.99 per bottle. Works great!! And PH tester I use is a small fish tank tester from Petco for 17 bucks, comes with 3 refillable strips good for 3 months. Try Setting your PH before you water your plants. it made a huge difference for me! Good Luck

hey lil cuz all i could say is probably the mix you have nute ph there could be so many problems. give them a flush and check the ph

sometimes a transplant does her good but have you tried flushin them with distilled water or spring water in a gallon jug that you can buy?? Your roots get clogged with excess salts that build up from nutrients, But then again could be your ph.....

looks like it needs water and light

1 - its natural that a cleaf or 2 die once in a blue moon
2 - is the plant getting ample of light?
3 - have you been giving it nutes? if so maybe to much
4 - is your plant young?

if you get a four way meter you could test moister, ph, light and nutes almost exactly. I would never say its to late to transplant cause it looks ph related drastic ph can lock out nutes. any burn on the tips of the leaves of the new growth cause thats what nute burn does from the bottom like that is hunger.
