i have 3 plants growing, they are all within a few days of each other, oldest is on day 10, it had 2 clover like leaves when it first sprouted, now two come out at same spot every level, but the middle one had its shell on for a while and when it finally broke open (day 6 now) it had 3 clover shaped leaves and now its growing 3 serated leaves instead of the norm two. has anyone ever heard of this because i havent. im pretty nooby but in all my research have never heard of such a thing. i will try to get pics up asap but please help!!(my last one just sprouted today and has the norm 2 clover leaves. wttffff is wrong with the middle one??

plants sometimes develop a third cotyledon leaf, im pretty sure it is just a genetic mutation. I also have heard that plants with this irregularity produce either less bud or bud of a lesser degree.

so should i not even waste my time with it and chop that fucker down?? aand with my first plant i heard that an easy way to tell if male or female before it shows its sex is if the leaves sprout evenly (two leaves at same place) its a male and if they alternate its a female?? cuz mine are sprouting evenly...

the way the cotyledons open up have no effect on whether the plant is male or female, im pretty sure, but if i were u i would search past threads for more info on it.

same thing happened to me usually the plant will go from two leaves then in the middle out sprouts 2 more then 4 leaves come out it will probably be fine... ive had some really weird mutations before.

ya im about to transplant them all im just worried i wont have enough space with foot by foot square pots in my grow space of 3 ft tall by 3 foot long by 1 foot wide, and im currently trying to germinate 2 white rhinos, but they are taking forever, they started germinating while my last one that spouted did, using same techniue and everything, the white rhino seeds(which are white) are turning green so im beginning to fear they may rot. is there anything i can do for them??

white seeds blow, too immature. Thats my opinion though, see if someone else has any knowledge

those are also called sucker leaves I believe. Sort of a kick start to the growth cycle of the plant. These will fall off once the main fan leaves start growing. Someone in the know can elaborate more on this.
