Writing a Book

I have a question about the legality of something, and if this needs to be moved then please do so, however I would assume this is where it should be as it pertains to current laws.

So anyways, I looked on the interwebs for a good answer to this but still can't get a good answer. Even if nobody here knows for sure, any input would be appreciated.

I developed Migraines about 3 years ago. I became so ill that I dropped out of school and for months was taking vicodin and going to the hospital regularly. I hated taking pharmacueticals as they made me feel very loopy, so I quit and eventually started smoking ganja. It helped so much, that I smoked for about 2 years. I smoked daily, and around 4-5 times a day. Sometime at the end of last year, I ran into some problems with an officer when I was caught with less than a gram in my pocket at the park. He decided to let me go, and I never was charged. Then, a month or so later, the cops ransacked my room, and found absolutely NOTHING. I had been so paranoid that I had moved in to my grandpas and gotten rid of everything.:hump:

SO, they never charged me with anything, but I know FOR A FACT, that they knew my name, where I lived, who I "ran" with, and what I was doing. Eventually I found out what was causing my migraines, and have since stopped smoking.. I hardly get migraines anymore, and I am a regular law abiding citizen. I am going back to school and getting a job soon, so I have come full circle, with no legal ramafications.

Now, I have been writing a book about my whole experience, and how I ended up smoking pot, how I tried LSD to cure my migraines (partially successful) and other things that I think could save some people trouble and turmoil if they looked at what I did.

My question: If I write a book about past illegal activities, and have not been charged with said activities, could that be used against me in the future?

My thinking is that it couldn't, but I have to make sure... any input is welcome, thanks.:leaf:

They make the rules and don't follow their own rules anyway. They can do what they want, when they want. Judges aren't impartial and cops don't "protect" your rights, you don't have any rights. You could get charged or you might not, there is no set formula.

If you do ever get charged or know somebody that has this is what they want to know about - http://nhjury.com/

Good luck.

you cannot profit from your own illegal activites.

what you do to get around this rule is say the book is 100% fiction, but based on real events.

change the names, change some conversations.....

that's it.

gd luck.
