Yeah, I dont think that is true either. I have been growing 10 years and never heard that. A female plant produces resin throughout the flowering process. Darkness has nothing to do with it.

try to remember that the hole resin is made for this, resin is made for that is alota bs. resin just became by natural selection and then humans have been breading high potencey marijuana plants together and selecting more potent offspring to breed together for centuries. It makes sence to me that if the plant was put into darkness as it was dying and in its last hours it may well put out all the last of its energy in the form of resin and or bud mass. kinda like how some females will put out a couple nanas right at the end of flowering in a sorta desperate attempt at seeds.

That is a good point goldy. I usually keep them in darkness for the last 24 hours before completely harvesting and drying them in the dark. I find that it does make for a slightly stickier bud but either way I only ever harvest after the lights off period.

My rhino is currently at 9 weeks, on flush as of yesterday. ALL her pistols went red (She got burned s a result of high ppm and low light) as of two weeks ago, new pistols and fatter buds...after a very nice flush 
Rhino should be half ww from what I know, and ww for me, is good at 10-11wks.
Pistol color doesnt work for me. Use a 30x scope from radioshack and look at the trichs.
