Wow's Flower Box.

1) box build; 2'X2'X4', plywood covered with white paper inside.
2) lighting; 1x 100w hps flood light.
2x 42w 2700k cfls. 2x 26w 6500k cfls.
3) soil; fox farms happy frog soil.
4) nutes; fox farms liquid nutrients, feeding every other watering with tiger bloom at 3tsp and big bloom at 1 Tbsp, ill be adding grow big durring weeks 3 and 4 of each plants flower, at a rate of 1 tsp per gallon. i feed unsulfered molases with the waterings i dont feed nutes at 2 Tbsp per gallon.
5) plants; currently i have a sativa dom bagseed and an indica dom bagseed that have vegged 50-60 days. the sativa is just done with its 15th day of flower and the indica just went in 2 days ago. both showed sex after 2 dark cycles.both plants have been extensivly lsted, the indica got topped when a light fell in the veg box.

running a 100w high pressure sodium flood light that i had laying around, along with some cfls, the wattages and colors are in my first post.

ok guys from now on ill be postin mid weeks pics as well as saturday night pics. updates will be small wednesdays just a couple pics of each plant and health staus of each.

the sativa is doing great, budsites all over the place, its getting a little tall and leggy but the nodes are still a decent distance apart so im not too worried, hopefully it will be done with its stretch by the end of the week and settle in to pack on the buds.

the indica is starting to grow like crazy and may actually catch and then pass the sativa, ive not grown too many indicas so im not real sure how its going to stretch out durring the first couple weeks. i was able to snap a pic that shows the pistils on her.

im begining to belive that its a combo of the hps and the cfls, the penatrating heat and lumens of the hps with the more focused spectrums of the cfls may be why this box works well.

sativa, end of third week of flower, the stretch seems to have slowed a bit and the bud production has started in full i belive. the leaves are starting to get some resin buildup as are the stems, the plant smells really yummy. :weed:

indica, end of first week of flower. im a little worried about the stretch on this one, was hoping to keep each branch a solid nug but i guess thats not going to happen now, a few of the leaves on the lower parts of this plant are shiveling and dying off, ill be feeding this one grow big with its next watering to try and slow that down. every node of this plant now has pistils but they havent started any nice clusters yet.

Dont drop the grow big all the way. Keep them leaves healthy as long as you can. Givem 1/2 or something...
I did when going to flower and two weeks in, yellow leaves and I never saved them.

I just think the leaves are important and besides I hate yellow brown leaves!!! :spew:

i drop grow big for the first couple weeks, with the sativa i only droped it for like a week and a half, i start back on grow big about half way thru the stretch and then taper off of it after the stretch stops, cutting grow big seems to help jump start the flowering along with feeding flower nutes a week before sending them into flower, usually my ladies show within 2 days this way. when i dont do it they will take up to 12 days to show some times. also these girls are so damn leafy its hard to water them so i wouldnt mind if some of the lower leaves fall off, lol.
i did trim like 4 small branches off the indica, they havent grown at all scince going into flower as they were small and not getting much light, so i got rid of them hoping to eliminate some smaller popcorn buds and let the plant use that energy for the colas.
oh and im building a SLIGHTLY larger box for these girls tomorrow, ill be reusing the same lights, fan, timer, ect. the dimensions of the new box will be 30"X30"X36". im going to mount the hps bulb differently, place the cfls differently and have an adjustable shelf in this one. i hope the ladies like it.

Thanks for the info. I may have to try that. Makes them show sooner is a good thing. I am going to thin out the lower brances in a couple weeks. I would like to start flower in a couple weeks. I need my WW to finish...Be sure and throw up some pics of your box...

how far are the ww into flower now? they go for 9 1/2- 10 weeks right? ill deff put up some pics of the new setup when i get it done, im hoping tomorrow but i cracked my head on the corner of a sheet of ply wood when i triped over my skill saw cord today. so i had to stop early, and the broken thumb is not helping matters much either.

The website says 8 weeks. It was 11 weeks yesterday! I check them everyday. I just want to see some amber then I will chopem.

damn may cant belive its going so far over stated times, have you contacted the breeder and asked about anomolies in thier strain?

yeah im always battered and bruised, if not sick as well, mostly the reason i smoke weed bro.

Yea I am shocked. I never thought it would be 12 weeks or more for WW. I really want to start the 9 babies flowering before they get too tall. Im not using this breeder anymore. I am just going to let them ride but not much longer. Its getting close. The leaves are drying up. The smell is changing to. The buds are rock hard and fat...The Big Bud, well I just dont know about this one. Not impressed by I abused her so she might have done better. Good buds but not much trich developement. No amber either. Same flower time as White Widows. We will see.

have you been hitting the big bud with molasses? try it, you may get atleast a little resin production from it this late in flower. what breeder did you buy from if you dont mind me asking?

I dont know what molasses to use. I see Plantation Molasses at the grocery store. The big bud is very leafy. More leaf than bud. Not know for high resin anyway. Mine should be called big leaf! lol One of the small buds broke and I cut it. I have 3 or 4 big bud seeds hopefully one female so I can try this again. It would have done better if I had not chopped buds off her for two months lol hey when your out of weed snip snip lol...

I gave them just water the last 2 feeds. I checked them all this morning and saw some amber on one WW very little though. Not sure if I will flush. I was thinking of flushing a few gallons through them, shut off the light for three days and then chop. What do you think wow?

Oh and all my leaves went to shit when I changed to flower nutes. First time in soil so I had to learn a lot. Never had one yellow leaf in my waterfarms. Im not going to drop the veg nutes when flowering this time at least for the first few weeks then cut in half the last few weeks.

My hydro shop is doing a comp grow between a bubbler(3 gal with an air stone), FF OF soil and Miracle Grow soil. The bubbler is KICKING FF ASS. Forget MG, it is puny 6" compaired to the others. The plant in the bubbler was 24" to FF13" and the bubbler was flowering were FF was not.
