Wow so depressed right now my wait for card is so long.

Well turned in my paperwork by hand on 9--1 14 or so.
So been thinking I will have my card or letter in a couple weeks so I decided to call them and they wont talk without a fax understand there busy.
their reply is 6-8 weeks crap so darn long and they tell me legally I am on the program and good to go but that does me no good without a card because no one will deal with me without a card.
Very frustrated right now just when I get up the courage to do this I pick the worst time there has ever been to get a card.
And I know 8 weeks may seem like not much but when your really sick and looking forward to it time just stretches out.

They should have some form of fast track for terminal patients I don't think it would effect the non-terminal users much and help get the really really sick people there card quicker.

Just bummed out and bitching a bit :(

I am in my 40's and haven't smoked since I was 17 so nope I don't know anyone lol.
Called Carson again and they said another month most likely but what can I do nothing really but wait.

well you waited this long, whats one more month ?

if your experience was like mine, it might also take some time before you find just what you are looking for once you get your card. It can be so overwhelming and least up here in Mich. not all places sell great weed..its good but not great....then they try to get you in to eatables, I've resisted the temptation.....if smoking just a little weed lets me feel just fine in mins, why do I need more THC by eating weed ? The whole idea behind medical weed is it can replace other drugs and allows the person to feel normal again without feeling all doped up.

My advice is go to more then one shop to buy your bud and don't buy a whole bunch at first, go slow, once your legal you can buy more weed any day you feel like it..place after place will have jars and jars of it on the tables

Then again your weed just might be awesome on the West coast, Mich is 12 years behind California on MM

I know it's only a month I have just been in such a bad depressed mood the last 6 months or so and the thought that I might have some way out of it really lifted my spirits for about 2 weeks until I found out how long it was going to take and then that cloud just moved in again and I feel so bad.
I just keep eating my pills and waiting.

Good advice though my one problem is the only place I can buy when I get my card is Las Vegas a 6 hour drive which is torture on me so I am planning on buying a few 1/4 or 1/2 of stuff that say they are supposed to help my issues and hope it last until Reno area gets its dispensaries up and running supposedly in early 2015
I wish California would take our cards it's like a 2 hour drive to Tahoe or 3 to Sacramento would be way easy then.

All I can say is don't get cancer lol never thought it would happen to me I lived so clean but 8 years in the military and lots of time in the early Gulf War years so I am sure that's what screwed me over.

Yeah thats likely true, I don't have cancer so just smoking works for me. Maybe one day I switch over but I've over did it in the past, ate so much I thought I was drunk...we made brownies and ate 2 and nothing happen so we ate more and then I got a call and drove down a few blocks to my friends, place..the drive back was un real, good thing there was no cell phones back in the 1980's, lol

That one bad experience scared me away from eating weed

Ate it on chicken camping once when I was a kid called it maui chicken don't know what but was funny as hell at the time.
truly got me messed up a different type of effect fore sure.
God I hope my stupid letter or card gets here soon about ready to explode dealing with everything I really hope it brings me to a happy place because I seriously am walking the edge right now.
My ex-wife keeps threating to kick me out only thing that stops her is I got a life insurance policy that she gets some of.
so almost homeless at the whim of someone really sucks.
Looking for places to live and redding Ca or Las vegas may be possible seem affordable but I have nervous breakdowns and I am worried about melting down in the middle o moving.
I had such the perfect place lined up in Las vegas but couldn't make it there in time due to waiting for my card.
So If anyone is renting and maybe wants to grow some more meds and looking for a guy who will always pay his bills and is mellow look me up.
Prefer a private bathroom and a room but that's all I need and a place to park my car.
Don't drink smoke no illegal stuff, honest no record of any kind don't party just want to kick back and relax growing my own would help money wise of someone gots a setup.
Looking to move anywhere somewhat close to reno within 5 hours or so that's just about as far as I could possibly drive.
Anyways long shot but you never know maybe someone gots a nice little place on there property they would rent to a fellow MMJ'er who is straight up person I am sick but just kind of like having the flu all the time can do small everyday things just no big hard working projects.

wish my damn Ex wasn't such a evil witch I jut want peace and quite not to much to ask for free money when I die :)

Just hang out the front of a dispensary and ask a customer who goes in if he can help u out with some buds man
I live in Australia and it's illegal here and it's as easy to get as say beer lol u can ask a total stranger u know where I can get some buds

Here in colorado a first time applicant for redcard is sent a receipt from the app sent registered to the health department. This is used at dispensaries until the actual card in obtained. Although its probably a different story there.

@weedenhanced I am such a sucker when it comes to not breaking the law I know I am in a way getting a card in the first place but I still want to try to remain in the law as much as possible. Maybe my years in the navy affected me I just find it hard to do anything against the grain its weird I still cut my damn hair short well bald short anyways lol.
@dbkick I thought about moving to Colorado seemed a little out of my price range around 700 max is what I can spend for rent and the 15 hour drive would be a killer. It actually hurts more to stay in one spot then move around a bit and I am scared to take pain meds when I drive even though I cant even feel them now they just dull the pain enough so I don't want to split my legs open like crab and scrap the marrow out gross image I know but that's how it feels. Was really considering Colorado springs as I hate the big city life just don't know if I can swing it.

I all medded up now (doctor meds not natures :( more relaxed and just hope everything gets here soon and works out our state wide disp are supposed to open in the next few months don't know if it will happen but that's the supposed time frame and if it does might make things better.
Just hoping it makes me mellow like it did when I was a kid man I was like the pink panther nothing got me smoked a bowl out of my double bubble bong and jammed to some old school rock and all was well even though life was pretty shitty then lol.

Funny story me and my friend got pulled over with that bong in the front seat during a traffic stop and it was like 2 feet high lol.
I hid it under my leg leaning up against the seat two cops came up one on each side female cops if you can believe and ones looking in my window down at me and ones talking to my buddy driving he was pretty smooth with the ladies and they let us go high as kite with a 2 foot bong under my leg man I was sweating bullets big time.
We laughed about when we got home but were pretty freaked driving back weirdest thing don't know how she didn't see it 2 foot and purple well used too sure it smelled.

The dude lives 6 hours away from a dispensary, thats a long ways to go to hang out there hoping you find a cool dude.

Some places-companies will cash in your life insurance if indeed you have not much time left to live. Least they used to before the housing crash happen. You would sign over your policy to them and make them the beneficially and they would give you like 50% of what the policy is worth when you die. This way you can spend the cash now and not your ex.

Again thou, this was back when folks were buying homes with no money down and no credit checks things have changed since then

Depends on the policy but yes mine has a small option like that I would get the amount I paid in which really isn't much.
I have a 18 year old son though and my policy goes 50% to him and 50% to ex if I move I will change it all to him and she can screw off lol.

Im sorry, but if the medical situation is so serious, then who gives a fuck about card or no card? Never stopped anyone in the past, or in the present. I didn't not smoke weed to deal with suicidal depression because it was not legally prescribed.

Hit reply under a persons post to direct it at them I can understand the navy issue my father was in the Aussie navy 20 years . If u have cancer fck the law u need it get it

I simply don't know how else to do it I have been slowly not leaving my room more and more for 4 years just going to doctors appointments I cant really do much at all so I don't go anywhere and the only people I know are my small family.

Im not that kind of age, but i am as far out of the scene as it comes. Never stops me though. I just walk to a park, look for the obvious froup of stoners, and out front ask if they know anywhere to get a smoke. I've often been asked if im undercover etc, i dont dress like a stereotype stoner, overcoat, jacket, shirt, leather shoes etc, but i always ended up with weed. I just cant agree with you. Of the medical issues are that severe then you will find a way to obtain weed, be it asking strangers or reaching out to friends and even family. There is always a way to obtain a smoke.
