Kinda of a empty victory I think. Yes, it will be legal medically, that will only lead to people abusing the system because we can't get enough on the side of legalization. Where the fight really should be.

Although I agree with you that people will abuse the system. You have to crawl before you can walk. This is another state that is starting a trend. I would imagine we will have almost a dozen states coming out with MMJ initiatives in 2012. The Marijuana Policy Project is leading the effort. They are trying to get MMJ laws in atleast 26 states because that could cause Congress to reschedule the drug under the Controlled Substances Act since the majority of the states would have some form of Marijuana laws.

it's not prop 19, but this is still a good win
if you can get MMJ in joe arpaio country, you can get it in more states
hoping we can put NY in the MMJ column this year

Nah man. This helps the fight towards the goal of all out legalization. Nationally we need the approval of another 5-10% of the population before we can have legalization. The way to do that is have open legal cannabis markets in more communities. Medical cannabis does that. The more people see it, the more they get used to it and realize it is no threat to society.

All legalization is good legalization, medical included.

If there are any links/sites that give a good overview of how 203 will be applied, I'd appreciate a PM with a link?

I'll be doing some searches, as well, but hope someone is better informed than I am.

R.i. -V.t.- M.e. are a couple of the N.E. states with mmj
Maine's is pretty recent, but looks to be a fairly reasonable MMJ
i think Vermont's is minimal, and has been around for a while, next to worthless from what i can gather
not sure what R.I.'s is like

Its a pretty good thing that it passed, based of how much money Arizona is in need. This State is broke. Thankfully to the law passing of Prop 203, Arizona will have thousands of new Jobs for the people here in this modern day struggle. Fingers are crossed hopefully many states will be next.
