Would you?

Strain: Indica Northern Lights
Week: ? not saying yet :)
Plant Height: About 2.5'
Dominant Cola Length: 13"
Bud density: about as dense as a bud can get
Foliage: A lot of green still left on the plant on the bottom
Calyx development: swelling significantly maybe starting to foxtail
Pistil Development: 90% red/brown
80-90% cloudy in most areas
5ish% amber every other leave
15% clear in most places
Expected Yield at current swell: 4-5 OZ

There's still a lot of green left on this plant. When I cut it down it's getting the tops taken off and pushed to the side under the HPS for another week to let the bottoms finish up. It started developing a couple nanners this week but that's ok this is a local strain that is known to do it in late flowering.

Would you yank it?

Im yankin it right now:) nice plant. I wouldve already yanked it by now. Most would say im a premature yanker, I harvest at 70 30 clear to cloudy. Especially indica dom like northern. To each their own.

now that I got a couple responses... day 47. She has a sister from the same clip at day 50 not quite as developed as her which is throwing me off a little. Both were two weeks in clone machine and 30 day veg.

I use 3 and 5 gals. That one's in a 3 gal lol! Grow media is promix and worm castings. 3-4 containers per HPS 1000 light.

You must be a premature yanker with an excruciating headache from the clear trichome immature marijuana.

Clear trichome = immature marijuana
let it grow longer = better marijuana

Guys, no nerd rage over my plants! lol. I don't mind body vs. head... or the other way around. I'm just wondering what most of you do with your indica indoors when you see it going early. I live in the north east US and this is my first indoor grow, and, I'm usually more worried about weather/frost than I am about trichs.

Also, I should mention that I have multiple patients listed under my MMC card, one with MS, one with MD and another with all sorts of issues.

More comments and advice welcomed.

Looks done...

I've had a mostly Sativa with 50% amber Trich. and it was very intense high but no couchlock.
>20wks to full swell
I prefer pulling Indica plants @ first sign of amber Trich. but if they don't have the other signs of being done then I'll let them amber.
As long as the calyx are fully swollen then it's ready + I see fully swollen calyx on those plants!

Yep all signs are there and it's telling me yank me this weekend!!!

Friends who grow the strain don't believe that I have one that is ready to go on day 48 because it usually takes them 8-9 weeks usually... I think my setup and operation is better than theirs and I'm finishing early that is all but I've never grown the strain before and I'm worried about their warnings.

This is why I didn't list a day at first. I was hoping to at least get a few people to back my gut before the "psychoactive" and "waiting a week to be safe" discussions started.

What would you have said going by the pictures and bullet list without knowing what day of flower it was on?

I think I'm taking it down this weekend... or at least take all of the tier 1 colas off of it and letting it finish in diminished light... yeah I need room for some monsters that are busting out of a 2 month veg.

At day 48, it hasn't had any N since day 42 which is when it started showing enough amber to be concerned about timing and nothing but pH water, sugar, and a little super thrive since then. Planning to flush tomorrow at day 49. 3 gal pot should be dry enough by Sunday to harvest at day 51. :leaf:

Her sister plant will probably go at around day 55.

Another friend of mine is coming in at around 56-63 days with similar maturity and smaller fluffier buds so it was tough to gauge this one.

I love this strain... coming in as promised with dense buds and big yields at 45-55 days.

I did... day 51... letting her sister go another week and we'll see if she puts out more.

Why are you adding superthrive in the bloom cycle? Just curious, as it is an additive for coning and transplanting. I honestly quit using it because it was a waste of money. No benefit for me.

Superthrive is an additive for stressed plants... people use it for cloning and transplanting because these are times when plants are stressed.

Superthirve is vitamins that plants use during almost any stage. I give them super thrive when they're flushing because they're not getting anything else and and it allows you to give the plant low toxicity energy... I don't force feed it to them but a couple drops with some table sugar and they hold out nicely.

It also works nicely in a spray bottle during veg. They love it.
