Would This Work?

i know venting questions are probably the most hated on this forum, but i've searched and cant find a clear answer on here, or other boards (RIU, 420mag ect)

would i get away with (for my first grow, fund are getting tight for this) just 1 fan to exhaust both the heat from the light, and the air from my grow?

I found this carbon filter/blower combo on ebAY 6" CARBON AIR FILTER COMBO INLINE FAN EXHAUST inch SIX - eBay (item 270700463414 end time Mar-03-11 01:44:47 PST)

it seems to be the best deal its rated at 440cfm my room is 274 cu ft empty.

could i go filter--------hood--- out the tent--fan---out the window

or would i be better to run a Y off the fan and hook another duct up for exhaust on the other side?

tent has a (2) 6 inch openings (1 on ea side cross from each other about 4 foot up the tent) and (2) 4 inch openings on the backside about 2 ft up the tent

or do i absolutely need 1 fan to vent the hood, and 1 fan to vent the tent, all air is going to be dumped out a basement window no more then 5-7feet away from the tent.

it will work

run that fan on your lights in the set up you described. prepare to buy an extra fan to push air out of the tent as its going to get fairly warm..depending on a number of things. Best fans I found were this were the hydro farm inline booster fans. Most CFM movement for the lowest cost.

Looks like a pretty sweet way to get a mixed spectrum to me. Let's see some pictures of your grow room then....
