Alright then, i'm not to new to marijuana but i am new to growing. i might not be ready to grow. anyway, i have a closet and inside of the closet there is an attic connected to it. now i am not sure if this would be the best place to grow. no one ever goes in it though and it's a very big space. in the winter it gets to around 75 degrees farenheight and in the summer it raises to around 90 or 95 degrees. i would just like someone to tell me if it would be a good idea to grow in here. im not looking to grow anything special, just shwag but i dont want it to be too shitty even though most shwag is shitty. if it will work for a growing spot could anyone point me to a good guide for my situation or tell me what would be the best lights (cheapest that doesnt run my electricity bill through the roof), best type of pot, best type of soil, anything like that.

now like i said earlier, i just started getting interesting in marijuana growing and am most likely not ready for it but oh well.

First off, NO schwag growing allowed, unless you're a breeder :P

If you grow cannabis properly, and weed out the males before pollination, you will have nugget my friend.

Too answer the rest of your questions..... all depends, gunna take a bit of money. How much is your budget?
Also, how big of a setup? Housing 4-6 plants could cost hundreds, where 20 plants is reaching into the thousands.

Flat out you'll need an a/c unit, or chiller(if you want a big grow). That's anywhere from $70 too a few hundred. You'll also need a blower or in-line fan for ventilation, along with another oscilating fan(helps circulate the air preventing mold), around $100 if you get the right deals. Lights.... a cheap HPS for $50(if you can find the deal, i.e. ebay) to $200.

Attics can be very vital spaces for growing herb, but they take a bit more equipment, meaning more money.

how about this?
a 25w+ 6400k CFL per plant for the first 2-3weeks then add a few more in as the plants get bigger. higher wattage will provide better penetration to the lower parts of the plant.
For flowering use a 250w or 400w HPS, they shouldnt get too hot and will easily provide enough light for 4 1' tall plants which should grow to about 2' by harvest time. The lights wont add a real lot to the power bill, around $40-$70 total for the whole grow.
start them out in a 3-4" pot then move into a 8-10" pot at about 2-3 weeks. get some decent potting mix without slow release ferts in it and add about 30% perlite to it. get a grow fert(NPK 5/2/2, 10/3/5 etc) and a bloom fert(NPK 2/5/5, 5/15/10 etc), whatever is available that you can afford. grab a ph test kit also.
youll also need a small oscillating fan for circulation and an exhaust fan capable of removing the volume of air in the room atleast once per minute(if a 200cubic foot room then atleast a 200cfm exhaust fan).
total cost for the first grow should be around $300(spread over about 6weeks) but each grow after will only be around $50-$80(elec, nutes).
read a lot and youll get a better understanding of whats needed and why.
