Would this hydro setup work well?

I will be setting up my first hydro grow room and I have it all sketched out and know how I want to do it, I would just like to get some opinions on it before I go out and buy everything for it. Basically I want to try the Sea of Green method and harvest about 5 plants a week. I was thinking ebb/flow for the whole thing because it seems the simplest/most cost effective, but I was also looking into other forms of hydroponics.
The mothers/clones/vegging plants would be in a room roughly 4' x 3'. Hoping to eventually have 6 mothers, each a different strain. I plan on taking around 20-40 clones so I can pick and choose the best to flower. I was thinking a 4 foot 6 bulb T5 fluorescent for that room. I've seen numbers as low as T2 for the fluorescent lights, would those be better than the T5's?
Then, to flower the plants I am planning on a roughly 4 x 8 room for two 4' x 4' tables. I was thinking of using a 600w HPS on a 4 foot light mover. I figure it's not as bright as the 1000w but from what I hear it is a lot cooler and I figure with the lower voltage and light mover combined I would be able to put it relatively close (less than 10") to get the most efficiency. I plan to have a 4 or 6" vortex fan to exhaust the room and have it connected to the light somehow. (still trying to figure out how to do that on a light mover) Maybe it's not even necessary w/ the mover. I figure I could put between 10 and 12 plants in each tray. Would that be efficient for SOG, or should I use more or less? anyway, thanks for taking a look and hopefully some people can give me some opinions.

Sounds good. My only comment is I dont think that with only two rooms you can get a harvest every 5 days. In fact (not to be a Debbie Downer) I don't think you can harvest every five days regardless. I have seen two room setups that are a QP every two months. Also as for the "20 clones" I don't know how your going to do that if you were talking about from one plant. Unless you were talking about 20 from all six, thats more doable. This is where I write the disclaimer "I am NO PRO." It may be possible to do, and I may just not know. BUT, I definatly don't think it can be done with only two rooms. Good luck

you do not have nearly enough space for harvesting every week...think about it, you are going to be putting plants that will probly get 2 feet wide and bout 2-3 feet all in a room where you will have new plants coming in every 5 days(to get a harvest every five days...i think every 16 to 20 days would be a little more realistic...just putting the thought out there...

Two things to consider:

1) Lights. If you are only using 1 light, you will have a lot of trouble keeping it at an appropriate distance from all the plants. If you are growing an 8-week strain, you will probably have a three week or so stretch, which means that 5/8ths of your clones will be about the same size, but the rest will be various amounts shorter.

2) Nutrients. Our working model here at RIU of a perpetual harvest SOG comes from the plans Al B. Fuct laid down a while back. His "harvest every two weeks" uses 4 tables. Each batch of clones is put onto its own table. The reason for this is that you will want to have a different strength nutes(some nutrient lines even call for different nutes altogether) at different stages of flowering. If you throw fresh clones onto a table where you are blasting 1500ppm solution, you will not be happy. Conversely, if you lower the strength of a table to accommodate the young clones, you won't be getting everything you could out of the older ones.

So, you should really only do one batch per table. I think a harvest a month is the best you can do, and only if you figure out your lighting situation. If you can elevate one table, that would be great. I hope it works out!

The plants wouldnt be coming in every 5 days but every 2 weeks. I hadnt really thought of changing the nutrients for each 2 weeks of flowering, which is why i was only using two tables, with about 10 plants in each one, 5 every two weeks. As far as light distance I figure I could get a 600w pretty close if it's on a mover, but would that be enough light? Since a 600w should cover roughly 10 sq. ft. or so, if I put it on a mover and set it closer, im hoping to have enough light. Also, I was thinking about using LED panels (225 lights each) as supplemental light on the sides of the flowering room. And I wasnt planning on having to have a 2 foot square space for each plant since i am doing SOG. Thanks for the help, any constructive criticism is greatly appreciated. After all, that's prolly one of the best ways to learn other than experience and trial/error
