Would this be ok as a short term solution

Hey everyone just a quick question before i go killing my sprouts.
I currently have 2 sprouts under some patheticly weak fluro i had for an aquarium.
Ive ordered a t5 2x55w light which should be here in 2-3 days.
My question is,
Is it worth putting up a 400w hps for the next few days until the t5 arrives? I know veg requires a different spectrum and MH would be better but i only have this fluro and the HPS right now.
Now this fluro is like 40w and i doubt the right spektrum, it has very little light output but i can have it basically touching the seedling without an issue where as i know the HPS is way too strong.
I just dont know whats the best move!

Plenty of people do the whole grow under HPS, and it's absolutely fine, even if not ideal. I would still say it's not worth using it however simply because they are sprouts. A pathetically weak fluoro is fine for now.

I was hoping it would do since its only for a few more days haha.
I'll eventually get a 600w MH/hps combo but not for a few weeks yet

I absolutely agree. I veg with HPS all the time. I wouldn't use it on the tiny ones though. You should be fine until your t5 set up comes.
