would this be any good for me?

Well I found that the cheapest 70watt HPS I could find was like $100.00 USD, but I found 50watt HPS lights for $35.00 USD a peice and they were both at Home Depot. But that's what I found on my quest to find cheap HPS lighting

Peace

Lightnation

would this be any good?

seems like a sick deal, how many lumens is a 70w hps?

thanks

I'm getting ready to install a T5 fixture, Because heat is not an issue, lumens to plant surface remains high throughout the bulb life cycle, and lumens per watt is excellent.

Some people on other web sites (for orchids) say they really like the results of T5 and T8. They are leaving MH behind.

Big companies (like Walmart) are retrofitting their T12 fixtures with T5 ballasts and bulbs. I wonder if they know something the rest of us are unaware of?

Good luck

Well said mate, cheers

It looks like it should work out. It might get a little bit hot, though, as those small security lights are usually built into their ballasts, and HPS ballasts get hot. The bulb itself does too. Make sure you have plenty of ventilation in your small space.
