Would this actually work??

I was at home dept today and saw this Lithonia Lighting 50 Watt Bronze High Pressure Sodium Floodlight - TFS 50S 120 LPI M6 at The Home Depot Lithonia Lighting 50 Watt Bronze High Pressure Sodium Floodlight In theory, it sounds brilliant...but do you think that it would really work.

any thoughts at all???

I just got the 150 watters, its the same light, but I bought it off of amazon for 16.00 a piece...I went there (lowes) and bought some cfls....while I was there I looked at EVERY lamp they had. Those 50's arent worth it. They have a 150 hps for around 70-85 bucks....but..amazon has them CHEAPER....
They came in two days ago....I wired them up, (in series) and Oh my gawd.....beats Cfls, t5' flouros alll to shit...heat is a problem, but I wanted LUMENS.....and boy, for 32 bucks, I got em! gotta have shades to walk into my lil closet!!! If yer doing a small grow, I personaly reccomend this link......

The price has fluctuated, but keep yer eye on it...with the lil cfls I got...Its got all the light spectrum I'll need from seed to ashes!!
BTW..I only have a 12 sq ft space.....but it's FILLED with light, humidity~(and heat) but cheeat, it IS winter..and the room IS outside...temps averaging 68-88

it would work... I bought one... and was very displeased... and said hey, for the price of 4 of these, which is how many you would need, I can buy a 400 W HPS, so I did... save up some money, I'm sure you can save 130 in notime if you have a good motivator... like... hmm... a 400W HPS light!
