Would there be any disadvantage to doing this with mother plants?????

I have 3 mothers under a 250w hps right now theyre all about a month old but growing pretty slow... Would there be any disadvantage to putting my 1000 watter over them till they get bigger then putting them back under the 250watt?
 
more light = more growth = profit = you get the idea...

You can also supplement CFL or T5 tubes on the sides when you go back to the 250 :)
 
I know the 1000watt will make it grow more and faster but im wondering if it will make it grow too much for the 250watt to handle when i switch back

250watts in a small area with good wall reflection should be fine to keep them going, but I'd suggest having that 1000watt up a bit higher from the tops than the 250watt.
