Hey folks, just your friendly neighborhood newbie here, I started this earlier this year, I think around two months ago and I am just wanting a few tips or comments on how it looks and what might I do to make it better. I use a 120w hps with nutes only being the type of potting soil and fish emulsion. i dont turn deaf ears to anyone, and I hope to make alot of friends here.

little streched, but looking good, try movin the light a few inches closer and just check after a few hours, if its still good move light closer, and just keep checking untill you start to see early signs that maybe the light is too close then back it off a bit. goal is to get light as close as possible without burning. good luck, looking healthy otherwise.

does "topping mean to cut the top of my plant where there are small leaves starting to spread out and the next step coming from the main stem?

yeah you cut just below the newest set of top leaves and leave the two below them, those should grow out to be two new main stems if done correctly.

alright what I did was I cut the top two new ones that were just now opening and the very top of the start of the next ones, if i would have cut any lower I would have cut the semi-new leaves that are just now opening fully, GOD I hope I did that right

looks right, might not see any new growth for a day or two but then the lowers should grow a bit before the tops but then the tops should quickly follow suit.

whew thanks man, I didnt have enough faith in ya and Im sorry, Im just a newbie. from the way the plant looks I should be hitting flower stage here soon. got any info for me as to how long I should do that and when should I start budding?

alright thanks for the tip, I wasnt planning on flowering for the next at least two weeks, I would like to get more than a couple b's or j's off of it if it is indeed female.

LOL thanks for the opinions bros and sis'. I will keep posting pictures every couple days to my albums and threads, so keep posted on the development of my single baby, hopefully its a she and not a he!!
