Would a fine mesh block too much light?

I'm planning on buying some 1.35mm square mesh netting to create a tent-like structure outside and was wondering if that size would block too much light getting through to the plant. The description says it provides 20% shade so not sure if that's bad or good. What are your thoughts on using a fine 1.35mm mesh?

I'm looking at a UK retail site so if that's relevant too you then they're called 'harrodhorticultural' and the product is called "Insect Mesh Netting". I think it blocks 20% of the light though but does look nice.

They do an even finer mesh called "Ultra Fine Insect Mesh Netting" but that blocks 25% of light. Maybe it's negligible to the plant?

I have a shade cloth hung over my garden, I think it lets 75% sunlight through. My garden seems to love it, but I live in southern California and the sun is intense here.

I don't think you'll have a problem.

OK, thank you Socaljoe.

Yeah, your more sunnier climate might mitigate the blockage but perhaps 20-25% doesn't matter anyway. Time will tell after I give it a try.
