A 315CMH can outproduce a 600 watt HPS . The issue of short bushy plants with MH don't occur with CMH.

A huge legal op here switched out all their CMH and back to HPS. They were selling the used ones for $150. I wish I could have snagged one. I don't think they even made their first chop before the swap.

I never could figure that out except the smaller footprint with the 315. Electricity rates here are sky high.
My testing showed that 315W CMH on square wave ballasts were each equivalent to about 500W of HPS on digital. Quality was better, too.

I bet their problem had to do with nutrient balance and room temperatures. I'm sure they didn't make adjustments for the different lighting. From what you mention, it doesn't sound like they were willing to give themselves a chance to discuss things in, either.

The owners? Money people all with no clues as to growing. Temperatures and humidity in one room were unstable. Especially the humidity. The head grower tried to get them to spend the money on air handling equipment but this is all new and no profits yet so they balked.

Blackwater hit the store shelves. Everybody racing to get it.

"Seeds! My Blackwater has seeds. At $25 @ gram!"

The 3 guys on nights got fired, 300 Blackwater plants were literally trashed in one day and they're still running on HPS.

They paid dearly for the mistake of ignoring the expert they hired to make sure their grow was successful.

An all too common story.
