Worms in pots

I spotted a few baby worms in my plant pots. I removed those I saw, assuming there'd be many more that I didn't. Is this going to pose a problem for my plants by damaging the roots or, will they ignore them and help aerate the soil?

They look like earth worms?

I'm guessing if they are worms, you'll be alright. If they are some kind of larva, then that's another issue.
Earthworms won't hurt your roots, IMO.

earth worms are benificial feed them organic matter and dont use chemicals or use chemicals and they will die and no harm done... unless ther not erth worns then you got a problem

They are definitely earthworms. I somehow doubt they'll find enough food to survive in my pots; it's fairly well rotted. Well as long as they don't attack my roots. That's a relief.

you could get some fall leaves crumble em up and put em on the soil surface like a mulch and they will dig it and poop out some good fertilizer

it all depends on how big the planter is....let's just say you were growing in 1 gal. buckets...there isn't a need for like 40 worms...a few in a pot that size won't hurt...besides the 3 worms can and will multiply in a matter of weeks (you could see'em multiply as quickly as week though).

Now depending on the species of the worm, red wigglers are most common when growing in soil (or composting for that matter). I personally see no reason why you couldn't use earthworms (either/or).....

Heres's the best advice I can give ya....read this: https://www.rollitup.org/organics/93881-vermicomposting-thing-consider.html

Ohsogreen helped me with my composting issues......you will find no evidence against using them.

Hope I was able to help,
