Wondering when I should start flowering

Hey guys this is my first grow, I have 2 white widows going, one will be 5 weeks on Monday and the other will be 4 weeks Monday. They are under 400 watt mh now at about 16 1/2 inches above canopys, and my 400 watt hps will be here soon. The big one is on ffof and the small one is in ff happy frog. I haven't really started using nutes yet, but I did use grow big once last week and I've use big bloom twice and I've been watering with distilled water with cal mag at ph of around 6.5.. Temps are around mid 70s with light on and mid 60s with it off. Wanted to see how you guys think they are doing and I'm wondering when I should start flowering them.. No alternating nodes but I do see some preflowers. So wanted to see what y'alls opinions were! Thanks in advance.

Wait until they are a little over half the size you want them to be when finished, they will stretch and almost double in size once put in flower.

you have the 400w hps /...great

with limited soil volume to consider

as you will/have found happy frog is crap will need nutes

FFOF unless diluted with perlite will burn careful don't feed so much

Yep! I think I will start in the next week or so. I haven't been using nutes really. And the one time I did it was 1/4 strength. I sprayed some fox farm dont bug me on them and that's what some of them spots came from. The ocean forest seem to be fine. Didn't burn any at all.

Not sure how high your light is, but this might help you.
