Hi guys,
Firstly, HI FROM AUSTRALIA! Anyway...
I'm extremely new to the scene, just doing it as a hobby - building a stealth micro grow in a computer case.
Anyway, my question. Originally I was going to hotwire the computer's powersupply so that it would supply me with 12v DC power which i could easily hook any lights and fans up, although i heard that this would generate too much heat.
Is this correct? Too much heat = bad?
If so, what's the easiest way to wire up a simple fan / lighting setup.
I thought about going to the shops and buying a standard every day desk lamp and changing the bulb and hotwiring a fan to it.
Would this work?
Cheers,
Jason
