so many people may have seen that a cfl can be illuminated by a tesla coil. soooo why doesnt anyone do this? well that's pointless right?

If the lights are fixed to a bar that spins from the halfway point, this will increase surface area covered by the lights. there would be no way to do this wired without using a brush and considering the lights part of the motor. next best thing is inductive illumination haha which is probably really ineffecient but if anyone has a tesla coil laying around you should try this and let this thread know "does this work???"

We can build a spinning bar with lights on it without a tesla coil we do stuff like this a lot using contacts. Too much loss in the Tesla coil to be useful.

yea i was avoiding the brushes. a battery would be useful if it can put out at least an 18 hour drain and recharge in 6 hours. then cobs could be used and the brushes could be set to only charge the batteries when not spinning.

i saw a DIY 1200w flashlight using cobs and an aluminum waterplate to cool all of them. probably not as great as the video suggests but proves batteries can supply chinese cobs easily. maybe not Cree very well.

I'm imagining a qtr circle rail with the LEDs facing inward. as i spins it would make a dome of light around the plant.

I'll price out components for a simple 3-500w build using 100w whites, heat sinks, batteries, mosfets/inductors/555s,

tbh this could be implemented in a 360° grow for one plant, hanging the soil or bubble bucket in the middle from an axis pole that doubles as the brushes when still.

its have to grow like a topsy turvey but woth extra vegging could be quite ridiculous and efficient.
