In the January issue of Neuropharmacology, which happens to have a marijuana theme, two teams of researchers tried to explain what causes some people to feel relaxed when they smoke weed while others get a paranoid high.

Wired has explained those articles. Check it out!

Do you think that there is something in bad weed that causes paranoia and does good weed not have that stuff?

In his book "Cultivating Exceptional Cannabis" Dj Short talks about a strain he bred that he called No High, or Grumpy Pot. He said it actually made users crabby and unhappy. He claimed that people actually returned free samples to him complaining about the quality of the high it gave. The only use he found for his No High strain was to take the edge off if somebody got too high (is that possible?). I found this pretty fascinating.

Man, that would be sweet as hell if scientists could find a cure for anxiety. I hate getting panic attacks...Xanax works a little. But, it would be cool as hell to just turn that part of my brain off.

If I don't smoke too much I don't get paranoid. I don't really like getting too stoned anyway. Maybe I'm just being paranoid?!
