4 x cree COB lamps for extra light inside a greenhouse. Platinum punch, and black cherry punch. Hoping to get purple buds with the low night time temps. Vegged indoors for 5 weeks or so. Plants are in 15gal pots and only fertilized once with organic ferts at transplant time into 15gal pots. Keeping it simple.

Ive gone ahead and thinned the plants down to 4 colas like the uncle ben method. Plants have stretched quite a bit. They have been in low light hours for 3 weeks now. They should be done is 5 or 6 weeks.

Looking good.

Are you in a dessert area?

What is the average daily temp of the green house during the day and night?

Its foothills of southern CA, not really the desert but yeah its warm and frost free.

The greenhouse has a fan and thermostat that kick on when temps hit 85F. So it stays around 85F inside if the sun is shining. Night temps are in the 35 to 48F range. Usually low 40s.

Planrs seem totally happy with the temps. There would not be sufficient sun light without the LEDs. Some days are overcast and even with full sun its not strong enough this time of year to make really dense buds. But 200watts of LED is plenty to make it work. I expect each cola to weigh an ounce or so.

I have a greenhouse in the same type of environment late putouts for me grow some small airy buds with tuns of resin on all the leaves.the smoke is lower quality but the weed lets loose of quite a bit resin for bubble hash. Early young plants are a waste of time for me without a heater and the expense of the heat makes it not worth while. If you develop any bug problems run the heat to kill the bugs to keep them from coming back the next spring.

Bugs are always a problem. Usually its ants farming scale and aphinds. To protect the plants I spread diamacious earth around the pots to keep ants off them. It also helps to go easy on the nitrogen and chemical fertilizers. They do make plants grow fast but they also weaken cell walls and allow bugs to attack the foliage.

I don't have a heater to run either. Whatever temp it is outside at night is what it is inside the greenhouse.

The plants smell super dank. Never had weed that smelled this good before! I bought the in house black cherry punch seeds and the platinum punch remix seeds were freebies. The platinum punch leaves lay down while the other one has perky leaves always going towards the light. Its kind of strange. The Black cherry punch looks like it will yield better at this point. 20190128_103137.jpg 20190128_103126.jpg 20190128_103128.jpg

Plants are looking promising. They smell like blueberry type weed. Both are starting to turn purple.

Still have a month or so to go.
