What do you guys use to black out your windows? I've been cutting out pieces of black tarp but I can't find one thick enough anywhere. Suggestions?

I just use 3 mil painter plastic... A piece o plywood painted black would b better the negative pressure of the room sucks the plastic in

large styrofoam board cut to fit in the window frame, I don't black it out but the miniblinds are in front of it so it looks "normal"

plywood works really well too but for me the styrofoam is ez to cut and lightweight

Naw it don't look normal. That orangeish hue I could spot anywhere. I'm not trying to do all that and cut wood. Maybe I should buy some thick moving boxes from home depot and tape that

they sell black out curtains thats what i use. i just fold em up a couple times and tape them to the frame no light leak whatsoever.

Where did you get those at? Does home depot sell those?

I put big thick blankets over them, and then I hung up t-shirts (preferably dark ones) to cover up gaps.

I'd imagine lowes or depot will sell em. I got mine at biglots for like 8-10$

I'd suggest that also if you don't own blankets. but black shower curtains from wal-mart/target/or any store pretty much would do well and be easy

Lol they're called blackout curtains, I found them for $12 @ annas linen

That's the ones I use make sure there thick with the thermo pane on the one side and your in business.
