Windows Vista

I've had it all, my poor laptop has been a champ throughout the whole process. My laptop came preloaded with Windows XP Media Center Edition. I installed Suse Linux and was dual booting for awhile but couldn't get any damn drivers to work! No internet no 3D graphics, it sucked. As soon as Vista started coming out I snatched it up, dual booting since RC1. Now running Vista Ultimate exclusively. Got it mostly for the eye candy, but can't complain. If I were you I'd totally go for Mac OSX. Very stable, very secure. Maybe even wait til Leopard comes out. I really want a mac but they're kinda expensive and I don't really "need" a new computer. They have mac labs at my school and I took a Photoshop class with them, I really do like the macs. I actually learned to use computers with macs back when I was 5.

had no choice. she got the vista. it's all they had. she' going to try it out for awhile and if we have any problems then we can switch over. so we went with the 15.4" toshiba, 2.0, 200gb, webcam, microphone.........

Nice machine FDD I'm sure your wife will love it!

i have vista, and its the bomb, a new printer cost me $150 bucks but its bomb too, i have a gateway and the only problem i had was with yahoo voice conferencing, but they have a patch and now it works fine, yes vista is the latest thing and it will be the only thing in a year or two. i am happy with it. The options you have with vista make xp so out dated, its like going from a muscle car(chevelle) to a super car(lamborghini) so much better and way more options
