window sill growing?

i might sound silly but i want to try my hand at growing a small plant do you think a window sill will provide enough light during winter months... i live close to the gta

I dont know what the GTA is, but regarless of what it is and your proximity to it, the answer is no. First off, here in the winter months, the windows are one of the coldest places in your house. The more glass between your plant and the sun, the less rays will reach your plant undiffused.

You plant will grow slowly, and more than likely not bud at all because of light pollution from the rest of your house. If you want a complanion plant, then sure, but if you want something worth looking at, or better yet, smoke, then scrap this idea.
