Well they title says all, has anyone of you grown out this strain? As its an legendary strain and its name has a lot of power I would like to know if its legit and maybe the background of this strain along with Phenos high etc.
Description:
Brand: Sickmeds Seeds
Product Code: SMS004
Availability: In Stock
Genetics: William´s Wonder x William´s Wonder (SSSC stock)
Strain Type: 100% Indica
Flowering Time: 60 - 65 days
Sex: Regular
Environment: Indoor
Filial Generation: F3
Seeds Per Pack: 10
Main Image: Williams Wonder

A special Indica indoor hybrid that is short and squat in stature, reproduced from original Super Sativa Seed Club seed stock. This plant produces heavy yields of extremely resinous buds which, due to their structure and high resin content, are extraordinarily weighty. Experienced growers can yield over 500 grams per square meter.

William´s Wonder parent stock is perfectly homogeneous, although its origins are a little vague, blessed us with its presence after selective breeding carried out over thousands of years in some unknown high mountain valley isolated from the main cross-contaminated (and highly variable) Afghani genepool. Its unique genetic strain packs a pronounced euphoric buzz that is felt mostly in the head. Its taste and smell are of citrus and candy. We are talking super stinky shit.

Williams Wonder cannot be grown outdoors without first being introduced into flowering indoors.

You saw my comments in the thread on "one hit wonders".

My response to this?

I've never heard of "Sickmeds" before, so I just checked and apparently this is a new company based in Spain. Apparently this particular strain has only been on sale for a few weeks now, so its unlikely anyone other than company testers have tried their version of it.

The description they have (which you quoted above) seems to be based on the original SSSS description from 20+ years ago, and mostly correlates with what I know about the strain.

I don't know if it really has to be flowered indoors before being moved outdoors, but that's what SSSS said years ago. In fact, I strongly doubt that this is true; its not true of any other strain I know, and its my understanding is that this strain is often grown outdoors.

Anyway, I am highly intrigued by this introduction, and if I ever get a chance to try some of this, I'll definitely make a smoke/grow report.

I just saw your first post and I was interested in William Wonder anyway, but I guess I can only find it out by growing it, it might be dank but I need infos on WW so I know if it has WW Traits or not.I would probably like to cross it with Bubba Kush sounds like a damn good cross strength of Bubba and WW combined plus increase the Yield of Bubba, but firstly I need to strat my bubba grow, then again gathering information is never wrong...if anyone got infos on WW from sickmeds pls share:)

I've heard its a great producer but doesnt really have any flavor or smell. Good for breeding yield into a flavorful, but low yielding plant?

Lol no offense but unless u have good infos probably wont help me.WW is actually known for its monster indoor yield (1-2kg per m²) plus its potency and as far as I know it has taste and smell as its supposed to be from a isolated afghan region.....so one can expect some unique flavors.

I don't think this is true.

I remember this as having a sort of distinctive floral scent (though again, its been a while. . .).

Contemporary descriptions/reviews I've seen typically remark on a citrus-like scent/flavor, which is unusual for pure indica strains like this one is supposed to be.

Never grown it, but every review I've seen says its an above-average to heavy yielder, making it one of the few that combine above average yield and potency.

This one supposedly does well as a hybrid parent, and there are quite a few William's Wonder hybrids out there.

One such stain is "Wonderberry", a hybrid of three really classic old school strains: Williams Wonder x (blueberry x bubblegum).

I "get" it, but I don't like the word "dank". That's how you describe a dungeon or sewer, not a nice herb.

I've posted on this before, but to summarize again for purposes of this thread, I've tried this exactly one time in '97 or so.

A friend brought some over. Unbeknownst to me, he had actually had it shipped in from Europe! He had one bud. . .but BOY was this a bud. It was flat from transport, but as big as my thumb, heavy, and sort of orange/reddish colored, almost like clay. It wasn't really manicured very well, and to be honest, it kind of looked like schwagg. And it had one seed in it (which unfortunately, didn't germinate. . .I tried). The smell was unlike any weed I had ever experienced before. It was a distinctive flower-like aroma.

He rolled up a normal-sized joint, sparked it and we shared it between him, myself, and my brother. 5-10 minutes later neither myself nor my friend could speak a straight sentence. Meanwhile, my brother literally passed out on the ground.

Anyway, the Sickmeds version is supposed to be an F3 from the original SSSC version. That implies that the seeds they are selling are actual grown descendants of plants grown from the SSSC seeds (rather than self-pollinated clones). With an inbred line like this, that would be "the" way to go, I think.

Sickmeds website is supposed to be up in a week or so, and presumably at that time you could buy seeds from them. I don't know where else (if anywhere else) they are going to make seeds available, or much else about their other lines.

In terms of crossing Bubba-Kuish x Williams Wonder, personally, I wouldn't. Why? There are already fifty gazillion other Bubba Kush crosses out there. Why not just enjoy this for what it is? There is no guarantee this cross will really be better than either parent separately, either.

I think you'll like the William's Wonder. I didn't post the actual smoke report yet, but its citrusy, heavy yielding, and super-potent, and I think it lives up to its reputation in that respect.

If you're interested in the Green Crack S1 ceeds, I have a grow report on that one up, too.

I've grown this Sickmeds strain out and it looked promising, though not as stout or broad leafed as Mr. Schoenmaker's M31 (W.Wonder) I bought in '87/'88. When finished the variance in appearance (from seed to seed) and taste told me this was not the real deal, as every S.S.S.C. seed was almost identical as was the smoke/smell no citrus no floral just pure skunk/funk & smooth as Dom Perignon! The high was intense yet mellow, all day shit. Sickmeds WW is not even close, though I was impressed with the care of packaging & timely service, I was not so with the outcome of the strain itself. I do hope others who rate this strain in future will have had exp. with the original before giving it any kind of opinion, as we are talking about a specific strain here aren't we? Thanks for listening to my rant 'n' putting up with my lack of writin' skills......P.S the description is the same as original "cannot be grown outdoors w/o being induced indoors first" I never had a to do this, perhaps I was lucky who knows. Outdoors buds like giant baseball bats!
