A 4" fan should work fine. Remember, it's about the CFM, or how many cubic feet it moves per minute, more then the diameter of the fan/ducting. The bigger the diameter, the more air it can move efficently, however, a 240cfm 4" fan will move the same amount of air as a 240cfm 6" fan.
Don't forget to buy a fan speed controller! This is a must, otherwise you won't have any control over you environment. Often the fan speed needs to be adjusted to keep your temps/humidity under control. My fan's start off barely moving any air when my plants are in early veg so I can keep my humidity up around 60%. When I am in flower my fans are running much higher as I try to get the humidity down to around 30-40%.
